Job Title: Assistant Event & Marketing Coordinator
Contract Term: 8 weeks
Contract Date: May 11th – July 6th, 2018
Compensation: $12/hour for 30 hours/week

Job Description:

The Assistant Event & Marketing Coordinator (AEMC) will aid the Feels Good team in presenting the 10th annual Feels Good Folly Fest, a music and arts festival held each June in the Village of Gagetown, NB. The AEMC will aid the team in the planning, promotion and implementation of the festival, and be on the ground for the event itself as a major contributor to the festival coordination.
Tasks may include: social media, marketing and content creation; assisting with sponsorship coordination; developing schedules and systems for staff, volunteers, and artists; event coordination; hands-on labour throughout the festival proper.

The Feels Good team is a strong group of talented and motivated arts professionals, and the Assistant Event & Marketing Coordinator will benefit greatly from hands-on experience, learning new skills and developing toolsets in a fun, collaborative work environment.

Required Skills:

Familiarity and interest in social media marketing; experience working in word processing and worksheet programs; knowledge of the regional arts community; Strong writing ability in English; organizational and multitasking skills; ability to work independently and collaboratively;
Must be able to work flexible hours and be readily available the week leading up to and during the festival itself (June 22nd – 24th, 2018).


The following skills are not necessary for the position but are considered assets: driver’s license; access to a vehicle; bilingualism and ability to write in French; experience in social media/online marketing; arts training or personal art/music practice.


This position is made available through Canada Summer Jobs – therefore, the successful applicant must be a returning student to a New Brunswick post-secondary education program, over the age of 19, and available for work starting May 11th, 2018. Must have working cell phone.
